MacMachine Some edited footages I shot during a New York City trip for Human Rights Watch International Film Festival and the New York Asian Film Festival in June 2005. Nearly mugged wandering around. It's a little tribute to this lovely city and people but NOT to Bush and his administration. It got this wonderful creative aura energy that hard to explain. Anyway, this video here will tell on how I felt being in the "City That Never Sleeps". Edited with the background music of U2 from the album "All that you can't leave behind, New York - 2000 ".

defence of women bloggers, malaysia minister done it again

" This is the latest tv interview on 15 March 2007 by Tengku Adnan. He still denies
Sin Chew Jit Poh report regarding his remarks on women bloggers. I think he has
not handled Nila's complaints well, just look at his body language and the tone of voice
(is this the kind of minister that we want?) I don't think the issue has been resolved . . .

I've got news about our malaysia's tourism minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor who refused to respond on accusations that he had insulted women by reportedly saying that Internet bloggers are liars, and many are jobless women...the internet are buzzing right now.

He said last week and reported by Sin Chew Jit Poh chinese language newspaper, Elizabeth Wong posted translation here. "All bloggers are liars, they cheat people using all kinds of methods. From my understanding, out of 10,000 unemployed bloggers, 8,000 are women." The minister reportedly made the comments in response to questions by reporters about criticisms of Malaysian tourism authorities contained in an Indonesian broadcast journalist Nila Tanzil.

The report sparked a storm of criticism among Malaysian sisters bloggers, including Marina Mahathir, who called Tengku Adnan's reported remarks an "unbelievable bit of foot-stomping" by "a supposedly sober person in high office." Susan Loone said in an open letter to Tengku Adnan that his reported comments were "highly demeaning" and seemed to reflect the ideas of a "woman hater." More from Susan Loone. Also read Kak Teh's Choc-a-Blog Blog. I hope Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor clear-up this matter and apologizes.

pirate
“ Better to be a Pirate than to join the Navy ”

Steve Jobs - Referring to the pirate flag that flew over Apple’s headquaters in 1983. I believe that quote was one of three keyphrases for a large Apple meeting/conference, and the Pirate flag was attached to the Macintosh building after that meeting. So the flag was actually a reaction to that.
